Friends of the Waterbury Public Library

Dear Neighbors,

The Friends was established in 1966 by a small group of dedicated volunteers motivated by a desire to make a difference in their library. Over the years, the Friends of the Waterbury Public Library have supported improved library facilities and services for the Waterbury community.

What We Do

The library budget does not cover everything and the contributions to our Annual Appeal allow the Friends to provide our library with additional and enhanced programs, activities, and services.

Volunteer!

The Friends is still run by a small group of volunteers who can always use more help. If you would like to participate or volunteer to help with a project please feel free to contact us at:

We generally hold a monthly meeting on the first Monday of the month.
