Museum & Parks Pass Program

The library offers passes for reduced or free admission to a number of Vermont attractions.

Who may reserve a pass:
  • Waterbury Public Library adult cardholders in good standing.
How can I reserve a pass?
  • Reservations may be made in person at the help desk or by calling the library at 802-244-7036. You can check out our online Pass & Equipment Availability Calendar to see when the passes and equipment are available. However, you will still need to call the library to reserve.
Program Restrictions:
  • Waterbury Public Library patrons may not check out two passes to the same museum/institutions within any one-month period.
  • A patron may have one museum pass checked out to their card at a time.
  • All passes can be checked out for 3 days at a time.
  • Failure to return passes on time may result in a $5.00 per day late fee.
  • Borrowers who lose or fail to return passes will be charged for the full replacement cost of the pass.
  • Due to our limited budget, the Montshire Museum passes are limited to 1 admission pass per family/household per calendar year, while supplies last.

Vermont State Parks Pass (Seasonal)

Day use only (no overnight camping).  Note that some State Parks are for overnight camping only, so the pass cannot be used at these parks.

Check in at the Welcome Center, then walk or take shuttle/wagon to the farm. The Children’s Farmyard is open mid-May through October, 10 am – 4 pm, mid-May – mid-October. The Walking Trails are open 10 am – 4 pm year-round, weather permitting (no pass required in winter). Tours are not included in the Library Pass benefit.

Vermont State Historic Sites Pass (Seasonal)

The Vermont State Historic Sites Program encourages the discovery and appreciation of the state’s rich heritage through the stewardship and interpretation of historic sites that evoke an authentic sense of time and place.

Vermont History Center & Vermont History Museum Pass

Entry to the Vermont History Museum in Montpelier or the Vermont Heritage Galleries in Barre. They are open 10 am – 4 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, closed on State and Federal Holidays.

Birds of Vermont Museum Pass

Lake Champlain Maritime Museum Pass

Lake Champlain Maritime Museum is a research and educational institution dedicated to preserving and sharing the extraordinary cultural and natural resources of Lake Champlain. We inspire children and adults through world-class nautical archaeology, robust educational programs, and full-sized and operational replica vessels that bring history to life.

Their four-acre campus is located right on the water’s edge, so our collections invite discovery and understanding in their original setting and visitors can embark on lake adventures of their own!

Vermont Granite Museum (Seasonal)

Located within an authentic turn-of-the century granite manufacturing plant, the museum’s mission is to educate about Vermont’s unique granite heritage art, industry, capabilities and cultural heritage.

1. This library membership entitles one group at a time to free admission to visit the museum.

2. Library patrons must present the library museum pass, which can be found inside the case, upon entry into the museum.

3. Library patrons are also entitled to join museum tours for free on special event days, including the Season Opening Extravaganza (May) and the Granite Festival (October).

4. The Vermont Granite Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm from the beginning of May to the end of October.

Montshire Museum Pass 

The Montshire Museum of Science is a hands-on science museum in Norwich, Vermont. Located on a 100-acre site along the Connecticut River, the Museum offers over 150 exhibits relating to the natural and physical sciences, ecology, and technology. The outdoor space includes miles of trails and David Goudy Science Park, which features water exhibits.

Education & Enrichment for Everyone Pass

Education & Enrichment for Everyone (EEE, formerly Elder Education Enrichment) is a lifelong-learning organization which has served the Burlington area for about 25 years. It is open to anyone interested in educational experiences without tests, papers, or grades. We present 12 weeks of interesting and diverse programs each fall and spring.

Programs take place on Fridays.
February – April and September – December.
