The Palace Project eReader App


The Palace Project app makes it easy to browse, borrow, read and listen to any eBooks or eAudiobooks on your mobile device.


Available from Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The Waterbury Public Library Palace Project web catalog can now be accessed through a web browser on a computer or mobile device at: https://catalog.thepalaceproject.org/VT0172



WPL’s Overdrive collection is available on the Palace Project app and can be accessed on both Libby and the Palace Project app. Beyond that, the Palace Project app includes a larger ebook and e-audio book collection from the Vermont Department of Libraries, which is not available on Libby/Overdrive.

At this time, the Palace Project app is not available on Kindle, PC, Linux, or other devices.

The Palace Project app is still in development, which means some features you find on other digital content apps may not be available yet.



Instructions for downloading and signing in:

  1. Search for Palace Project in your device’s app store.Apple App StoreGoogle Play Store.
  2. After downloading the app, select “Find Your Library,” and choose Waterbury Public Library from the alphabetized selection.
  3. To sign in, select the settings icon in the lower-right hand corner of the screen, then enter your LIBRARY CARD NUMBER and LIBRARY PASSWORD (Last 5 digits of library number) and select LOG IN.

The password is the same password that you use to log in to the catalog and Libby.

To access the web catalog:

  1. Click on your library’s URL
  2. Click on “Sign In”
  3. Enter your Barcode and PIN/Password and click “Login”
  4. Browse or search for an item to checkout
  5. Click on “Borrow this book” to checkout or “Reserve this book” to place on hold
  6. Click “Read Online” to read in the browser or find your library in the Palace app on your mobile device to read in app
  7. To see all items checked out and on hold in the web catalog, go to the “My Books” tab
