SIGN WITH YOUR BABY – ASL (American Sign Language)

Monday, March 31st from 5:00 to 6:30 pm.

Instructor Atilia Wilkins presents a class geared toward caregivers and babies that will focus on the basics and comprehension to begin building a general understanding of ASL.

Babies can start using simple signs to express needs before they can say words, which can decrease crying and frustration.

Studies suggest that signing may contribute to early cognitive development by stimulating different parts of the brain and promoting language acquisition.

Signing can help babies engage with others, including siblings and caregivers, by providing a way to communicate even before verbal language is developed.
